A retired Marine with a BA in education, Alfredo is an active leader in his community, serving in Kiwanis, Alliance for Natural Health, and his church. He has been happily married for 17 years with 3 children.
Alfredo became involved in cancer issues after his father-in-law and best friend died of cancer. When he found out that it was a crime for doctors to give types of treatment other than radiation, chemo or surgery, he became outraged, and decided to do something. Alfredo wrote to the president and his elected representatives in Congress and the state capitol. He believes that in order for the medical system to change, people need to be better informed, and they have to demand that they have more freedom to choose the treatments and doctors of their choice.
